Frequently asked questions

What are RPO and RTO?

RPO is how much data you can afford to lose; RTO is how long you can afford to be down. Both are agreed before job design begins.

Are snapshots enough?

No. Snapshots live on the same platform as the data. A separate, ideally immutable, copy is required to survive corruption or ransomware.

How often are restores tested?

On an agreed schedule, with results documented. Untested backups are treated as unverified.
